Instructions
Only your doctor will determine your dose and how you should take this medicine.
The recommended dosage is usually:
The initial dosage is a single 3 mg tablet to be taken once daily for a month. Following this period, your physician will raise your dosage to 7 mg once daily. If your blood sugar is not adequately controlled with the 7 mg dosage, your physician may further increase it to 14 mg once daily.
Your physician will determine the appropriate dosage for your needs. Please refrain from altering your dosage unless instructed to do so by your physician.
Taking two 7 mg tablets to achieve the same effect as one 14 mg tablet is not advised, as this has not been researched.
Please ensure that you do not go over the prescribed amount.
Manner of taking the medicine :
Administer the Rybelsus tablet on an empty stomach at any time throughout the day. Ingest the Rybelsus tablet whole, accompanied by a small amount of water (up to 120 ml). Following the ingestion of the Rybelsus tablet, it is essential to wait a minimum of 30 minutes before consuming any food or beverages, or taking other oral medications. Reducing the waiting period to less than 30 minutes may diminish the absorption of Semaglutide.
It is not recommended to split, crush or chew the tablet, as it is not known if it affects the absorption of Semaglutide.
In case of unintentionally consuming a higher dosage or exceeding the recommended amount of Rybelsus, it is advisable to promptly consult with your physician. Possible side effects, like nausea, may occur.
In the event that you miss a dose of Rybelsus, simply skip the missed dose and proceed to take your next dose the following day at the regular time.
Strictly adhere to the treatment protocol provided by your doctor. Even if you experience a positive change in your health, do not halt the medication without seeking approval from your doctor. Stopping the medication suddenly could cause an increase in your blood sugar levels.
Please ensure that you adhere to the diet and exercise regimen outlined by your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.
It is crucial that you follow the diet and exercise plan recommended by your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.
What is type 2 diabetes?
Type 2 diabetes is a condition characterized by insufficient insulin production in the body, or by the ineffectiveness of the insulin produced in lowering blood sugar levels. There are cases when the body overproduces blood sugar. Prolonged high blood sugar levels can result in adverse effects such as heart problems, kidney disease, eye disorders, and poor blood circulation to the limbs. It is essential to regulate blood sugar levels within a normal range to avoid these complications.

Individuals who are allergic or sensitive to Semaglutide or any other ingredients present in this medication should refrain from using Rybelsus.

You have type 1 diabetes (your body does not produce any insulin)
One may develop diabetic ketoacidosis, a complication linked to diabetes that results in high blood sugar levels. This condition is accompanied by symptoms such as breathing difficulties, confusion, severe thirst, a sweet breath odor, and a sweet or metallic taste in the oral cavity.
Throughout the course of treatment with this medication, you may undergo episodes of nausea or vomiting, and may also experience diarrhea. These side effects have the potential to result in dehydration, which is the loss of bodily fluids. The concurrent use of a sulfonylurea medication or insulin alongside Rybelsus may elevate the likelihood of experiencing low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Your physician may recommend monitoring your blood sugar levels to determine whether an adjustment in the dosage of the sulfonylurea or insulin is necessary to mitigate the risk of hypoglycemia.
Rapid enhancements in blood sugar regulation can result in a temporary exacerbation of diabetic eye conditions. If you are suffering from diabetic eye disease and encounter vision issues while using this medication, it is advisable to consult your physician.
In cases where the effectiveness of Semaglutide treatment is not as high as anticipated, it could be attributed to inadequate absorption resulting from inconsistencies in absorption and limited absolute bioavailability.
This medication is not recommended for individuals under the age of 18, as its safety and effectiveness have not been proven in this particular age group.
